An extraordinary evening, moving material and standing ovations: A new chapter in musical history was written with the world premiere of the musical „Der Schimmelreiter - A Mystery Musical“.
In front of a sold-out audience, visitors experienced the premiere of a production that impressively reinterprets the famous story by Theodor Storm. With great emotional power, stirring music and impressive stage sets, the story of the dyke count Hauke Haien unfolded into an unforgettable theater experience.
From the first bars to the moving finale, the ensemble captivated the audience. Sascha Kurth shone in the leading role of Hauke Haien. At his side was Pamina Lenn in the role of „Elke“.
Powerful solo voices from Dennis Henschel, Anja Backus and Kaatje Dierks, emotional scenes and a musical variety between dramatic ballads and energetic ensemble numbers brought the legendary story to life.

The world premiere not only marks the successful start of a new production and the Fulda Musical Summer, but also a special moment for all those involved, who have worked on this project with passion, creativity and commitment over many months. The enthusiastic response from the audience and the long-lasting ovation at the end of the evening impressively confirmed the charisma of this extraordinary production.

Over 46,000 tickets have already been sold for the „Schimmelreiter“. Due to the high demand, the play will be extended and can be seen at the Schlosstheater Fulda until 06.09.2026. Tickets for the additional performances will be available from June 17, 2026 be available.
