The gripping musical production of the world-famous medieval saga takes the audience into the world of crusades and feudal lords. A completely new and independent interpretation of the legend is presented. Action, suspense and romance combine to create a thrilling stage adventure: the gripping musical about the fight for freedom and justice. Let yourself be whisked away to 12th century England.
What is it all about? The story
A nobleman flees to war
Robin of Loxley grows up as a nobleman in 12th century England. His father arranges a marriage with Marian, the daughter of the Sheriff of Nottingham. In order to escape his father's need to control him, Robin decides to follow his friend Guy of Gisbourne on crusade.
Nottingham in need
While the soldiers fight in distant Jerusalem, Nottingham descends into chaos. The people are suffering from high taxes and arbitrariness. Gisbourne returns without Robin, who was thought dead, and wants to take his place at Marian's side in order to rise in society.
The unexpected return
A year after his supposed death, Robin unexpectedly returns to Nottingham and thwarts Gisbourne's plans, whereupon he bitterly goes to the court of the new king, King John.
The realization
Traumatized by his experiences in the Crusades, Robin evades his obligations to his citizens and his wife Marian, who, however, persistently reminds him of his responsibilities. He recognizes the catastrophic consequences of King John's arbitrary rule for the common people. When he has Marian's father killed, Robin turns his back on the authorities for good.
The fight for the oppressed
Robin finds refuge in Sherwood Forest and joins the outlaws. Together they take up the fight against Gisbourne and even the king to fight for freedom and justice - a fight in which he not only finds himself, but also love for his wife Marian.
The last duel
Just as victory is within reach, Gisbourne strikes back brutally. He kidnaps Marian and forces Robin into a final, all-decisive battle.
