On Saturday, 01.11.25, a preparation workshop was held in Fulda for the child actresses who will be performing in the musical „Die Päpstin“ will slip into the role of little Johanna. Well prepared and highly motivated, the four girls threw themselves into their scenes.
Carla Jaech and Julia Scheuer from Hamelin already appeared on stage in the successful musical last year. Nevertheless, there were also new things for them to discover at the workshop. As usual with spotlight musicals, the play was slightly revised this year. This meant not only making small changes to the existing scenes, but also learning a new scene with foster father Gerold.
Clara Walte and Sara Grace Kaufeld from Hanover are competing for the first time this year at the MusicalWinter Hamelin They are new to the stage, but both also have stage experience and were able to quickly follow the instructions of Michael Schüler, who is responsible for this year's revival in Hameln. Jenny Schlensker and Sascha Kurth, two experienced performers who will be on stage again this year at MusicalWinter Hameln, were on hand to play alongside the young actresses.
Rehearsals officially start in December. The girls will then be able to slip into their costumes for the first time and get to know the entire ensemble before they take to the stage at Theater Hameln on 11.12.25.
