Svein Selvik is a Norwegian, internationally active lighting designer and programmer.

His work in the field of lighting includes such diverse tasks as lighting design for operas, musicals and events, technical planning and realization of open airs, corporate events and festivals as well as the lighting of concert tours and countless individual concerts of various artists.

He created the lighting design for „Gundelach“ in Oslo Opera, Norway, „Opera Noir“ in Bodø, Norway, „Don Giovanni“ and „La Boheme“ in Halden, Norway and „Il Trionfo del Tempo“ in Bogotá, Colombia.
Svein is a sought-after lighting programmer and has co-designed more than twenty productions of „Mamma Mia!“, as well as pieces such as „Wicked“, „Miss Saigon“, „Liebe Stirbt Nie“, „Eystein av Nidaros“, „Die Zauberflöte“, „Carmen“, „Liebe stirbt nie“, „Det Perfekte Liv“, „Trolle“, „Die Csárdásfürstin“, „The Idiot“.
He was also the lighting programmer for LD Ollie Olma at the Olympic Stadium during the London 2012 Games.

Pia Virolainen and Svein Selvik have been working together for many years - since 2009 on musicals such as „Mamma Mia!“ and as a lighting design team for new productions, such as „Der Medicus“, „Die Päpstin“, „Die Schatzinsel“ and „Bonifatius“ in Fulda; The Arctic Opera's „Eugene Onegin“; „Io Senza Te“, „Anna Göldi“ and „Oh Läck Du Mir“ in Switzerland and „Il Trovatore“, „Die fliegende Holländer“ and „L'elisir d'amore“ in Norway, and „Frida & Frida“ for Friedrichstadt-Palast.
