Spotlight starAndré Bauer
André Bauer was born in Görlitz and studied voice at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden.
This was followed by numerous engagements in German-speaking countries, featuring a diverse repertoire. His roles include, among others, Freddy („My Fair Lady“), Berger and Woof („Hair“), Phoebus („The Hunchback of Notre Dame“), Marius („Les Misérables“), Chris („Miss Saigon“), Leopold Mozart („Mozart!“), Emperor Franz Joseph („Elisabeth“), Frank Crawley („Rebecca“), Pilate („Jesus Christ Superstar“), Emile de Becque („South Pacific“), and Professor Callahan („Legally Blonde“).
Other engagements have taken him to venues including the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, the Stadttheater St. Gallen, the Staatstheater Kassel, the Musicalfrühling Gmunden, the Ronacher in Vienna, the Admiralspalast in Berlin, the Schlossfestspiele Langenlois, as well as on international tour to Japan and China. He has also appeared in several world premieres, including „Matterhorn,“ „Don Camillo and Peppone,“ „Lady Bess,“ and „Einstein—A Matter of Time.“.
His most recent roles include „Die Päpstin“ in Fulda and „Rudolf – The Last Kiss“ in Füssen.
