Femke completed her training in music and dance in Rotterdam. In the Netherlands, she has appeared on stage in productions such as „Miss Saigon,“ „The Sound of Music,“ and „Les Misérables.“.

In Hamburg, she was cast in *Dance of the Vampires*, where she appeared on stage as Magda and as part of the ensemble. During this run, Femke wrote and performed her one-woman show *De Musical, Over het geloof en ongeloof van een wannebe*.

In German-speaking countries, she has played leading roles in productions such as “Chess,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Rebecca,” “Cabaret,“ „Manitu’s Shoe,“ “Evita,” „Aida,“ „Footloose,“ „Singin‘ in the Rain,“ „Oliver!,“ „Titanic,“ „Doctor Zhivago,“ „West Side Story,“ “Sister Act,” „Spamalot,“ „Songs for a New World,“ „The Count of Monte Cristo,“ „Crazy for You,“ „Titanixen,“ and „The Rocky Horror Show.“.
She received the DaCapo Musical Award for her roles in *The Three Musketeers* and *Dracula*, as well as for having the „Most Beautiful Musical Voice.“ Femke was the alternate lead in the role of Grizabella in the *Cats* tent production during its tour of Germany.
For the world premiere of „Don Camillo & Peppone,“ she created the role of Laura Castelli.

Most recently, she has appeared on stage as Daisy Parker in *Ball im Savoy* and as Eva in *Seele für Seele* (Luisenburg Festival/Festspielhaus Füssen), among other roles. She is currently appearing as Diana in „Next to Normal“ and as Mother Superior in „Sister Act.“.

Her book of short stories, *The Cheesecake Man*, was published in 2020.

In addition to her stage performances, Femke has also appeared on television and works as a model, voice actress, and translator. She also teaches voice, acting, and musical theater.
Since 2015, Femke has been the patron of Hope Integrated e.V., an organization dedicated to supporting an elementary school in Kilifi, Kenya.
