Spotlight starJohannes Scherer
Johannes Scherer is an egg-laying wool-milk all-rounder on stage and on the radio.
He has been presenting on the Hessian private radio station FFH for over 30 years, most of this time on the early shift - as a self-confessed morning grouch. As a consolation for getting up so early, he was awarded the German Radio Award in the „Best Presenter“ category a long time ago. A prize that no one can take away from him, as it was abolished the following year and merged into the German Radio Award, for which Scherer was also nominated several times. At the end of the 1990s, Scherer made his first appearances on various comedy stages alongside his radio colleague Bodo Bach, and for more than decades he has mainly been on the road solo („Scherereien“, „Asoziale Netzwerke“, „Keinangsthasen“), but also together with colleagues such as Bodo Bach, Andy Ost, Henni Nachtsheim and others on stages or in radio shows. In 2012, he was awarded the Franconian Cabaret Prize.
The Aschaffenburg „Main-Echo“ wrote about him:
Johannes Scherer doesn't look the people in the mouth: he is the people. And with every program, with every performance, it becomes clearer how cleverly Johannes Scherer uses the supposedly bald-founded corny jokes to make a clever socio-political statement. He uses his stories and memories to reflect his own childhood and youth to the audience in a (rural) idyll that did not exist.
Fun fact for the numerous members of the „Simpsons“ fan community: In the German version of the world's most successful cartoon family's only feature film to date, Scherer dubs US President Arnold Schwarzenegger („They chose me to steer, not to think!“). He also hosts the „Tetra Pack“ mixed comedy show at Urban Priol's Hofgarten cabaret in Aschaffenburg several times a year.
