Rudi Reschke was already able to develop the role of Father and Pope Sergius in the new production of the bestseller „Die Päpstin“ in 2024. He began his stage career 40 years ago and has since appeared in over 100 productions. He studied in Hanover and Munich, graduating with a diploma, in New York and Budapest.
He had his first solo engagements at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe with international guest performances.
He then performed at the Theater des Westens Berlin in „Follies“, „Sweet Charity“, „Der blaue Engel“ and „Cyrano de Bergerac“, in Zurich/Berlin in „Cats“, in Vienna in “Kuss der Spinnenfrau„ and as Riff in „West Side Story“ in St. Gallen. He has also appeared on stage in „Chicago“ and „Kiss me, Kate“ (Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen), „Les Misérables“, „Jekyll & Hyde“ and „Titanic“ (Bad Hersfeld Festival), Disney's “Beauty and the Beast“ and „Tarzan“. He played Doolittle in „My Fair Lady“, Perón in „Evita“, Harry in „Flashdance“ and Otto Frank in „Ku'damm’56“. He also appeared on stage in „Effi Briest“ (DEGU Musical Festival in Korea) and in the German-language premiere of the original „Billy Elliot“ in Zurich.
His numerous TV roles include roles in the productions „Die Rote Meile“, „Unter Uns“, „Großstadtträume“, „Held der Gladiatoren“ and „Haialarm“.
He also completes his work as a director, choreographer and coach for musicals, films and events. As a director and producer, he developed the musical „Sherlock Holmes - Next Generation“ with a team, which was shown in Hamburg, Munich and on tour in Germany.
