Christopher Barreca has worked as a set designer on 250 productions to date. On Broadway, he was responsible for the multi-award-winning musical „Rocky“ (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards), „Search and Destroy”, “Our Country's Good” and “Chronicle of a Death Foretold” (American Theatre Wing Award).

Off-Broadway, he worked on Adrienne Kennedy's „He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box”, which won the 2018 Obie Award, „Turn Me Loose” (Joe Morton), „Master Herold” (Fugard Directing), „Painted Rocks”, „The Train Driver”, „Blood Knot”, David Byrne's „St Joan Into the Fire” (Public Theater), Greenberg's „Three Days of Rain“ (Drama Desk Nomination) and „Neon Psalms” (American Theater Wing Nomination).

Other productions include Culture Clash's “The Birds”, Charles Ludlum's “Hedda Gabler” and Anna Deavere Smith's “Twilight: Los Angeles”. In Switzerland, he was responsible for the set design for “Desert Flower” (Waris Dirie). His other international works include Wole Soyinka's „Scourge of Hyacinths“ (BMW Award nomination), „King Lear” (Dijon Festival) and Steven Dallane's „Solo Macbeth” (Almeida, London). He was also involved in the project „100 Years that Shook the World” and „Dachniki” (Russia). In Los Angeles he teaches stage design at CalArts.
