Lisa Heike Herbst was born in Nuremberg, but her studies and work have already taken her to various countries such as New Zealand, Finland, Spain, Austria and Switzerland. She initially studied cultural management in Görlitz, where she began her career in theater, and completed her Master of Arts in musical theater directing at the Karlsruhe University of Music in 2025.

She has already worked as evening stage manager and assistant director, as well as stage manager, on the „This is the Greatest Show“ tour of Sound of Music, at the Luisenburg Festival Wunsiedel in „Der Watzmann ruft“, at the Landestheater Niederbayern in „Chicago“, at Theater Solingen in „A Little Night Music“, at Bühnen Bern in „Next To Normal“, at Theater Magdeburg in „Figaro Gets A Divorce“, at Theater Osnabrück in „Trouble In Tahiti“ and „Die schöne Galathee“, in various productions at Mainfrankentheater Würzburg and Landestheater Linz in „Sister Act“ and „Der Hase mit den Bernsteinaugen“.

As a director, she most recently staged the musical productions „The last 5 Years“ at the FEJ Leipzig and „Marry me a little“ at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Zittau-Görlitz.
