Creative teamPeter Scholz

Peter Scholz studied English and music at the University of Kassel and trained as a professional musician in Offenbach. Workshops at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts round off his comprehensive musical training. He was and is active in many projects as a live and studio musician.

With the World Cup charity project „The Fifth Star“, he collected money for the „German Football Ambassadors“ association as a performer. In fall 2021, „Revolución“, the second album of the Latin band Cuba Libre, for which Peter Scholz works as bassist and producer, was released. Since the founding of spotlight musicals GmbH in 2003, Peter Scholz has been responsible for various areas of work as a partner and has been Managing Director together with Dennis Martin since 2006. He was co-author and musical director of „Bonifatius“. Together with Dennis Martin, Scholz created the compositions for the musical „Elisabeth - Die Legende einer Heiligen“. He acted as musical director and also took over the production management. He negotiated the rights to the global bestseller „Die Päpstin“ and also contributed several musical motifs. He also acted as producer and production manager for the world premieres of „Friedrich - Mythos und Trageödie“, „Kolpings Traum“ and „Die Schatzinsel“.

Scholz also negotiated the performance rights for the musical „Der Medicus“ with the American rights holders and took over the production management. He is also preparing the entry of various spotlight plays into international markets. In the meantime, „Die Päpstin“ and „Die Schatzinsel“ have been successfully staged in Budapest.

He negotiated the rights with Chris de Burgh for the new spotlight play „Robin Hood“, which celebrated its world premiere in Fulda in 2022.
