Stephanie Affleck learned the craft of lighting at the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, where she worked on productions such as „Miss Saigon“, „Sister Act“ and „Elisabeth“. After training as a lighting designer in Vienna and London, she went freelance and has since worked internationally in the fields of lighting design, programming and as an associate.
She is currently a lighting master and in-house lighting designer at Bühne Baden, where she has been responsible for the lighting design for numerous productions, including „Chess“, „Romeo and Juliet“, „Tosca“, „South Pacific“, „Victoria and her Hussar“ and „Circus Princess“. She will also create the design for „Wicked“, „Giudita“, „The Merry Widow“ and „Matilda“, among others.
As a lighting designer, she was also responsible for „Sister Act“ (Musical Theater Basel), „Krabat“ (Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen), „Aspects of Love“ (Stadttheater Münster), „Wolf - Das Mystical“ (Seebühne Wolfgangsee), „Pauline“ (tour), „Nele und der Zauberlöffel“ (Philharmonie Luxemburg), „My Fair Lady“ (Seefestspiele Mörbisch) and „Augustin“ (Musical Sommer Amstetten).
She has worked as an associate on international productions such as „Das Phantom der Oper“ (Raimund Theater), „Rebecca“ (China Tour), „Robin Hood“ (Fulda & Tour), „Wüstenblume“ (Deutsches Theater München), „Der Fliegende Holländer“ (Sankt Margareten) and „Billy Elliot“ (MAAG Halle Zürich).
In addition, she regularly undertook lighting programming for renowned theaters, such as at the Theater an der Wien for „Norma“, „Ambleto“ or „Saul“, at the Raimund Theater for „Rebecca“ or „Jesus Christ Superstar“ as well as for international productions such as „Love Never Dies“ (Shanghai).
