Spotlight starJohanna Zett
Born in Leipzig, Johanna Zett studied music and education at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater in Leipzig. She gained her first stage experience during her studies, including at the Musikalische Komödie Leipzig.
After graduating, her first engagements took her to the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich („Gefährliche Liebschaften“) and the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart, where she was part of the ensemble and appeared as Cover Jane & Kala in Disney's „Tarzan“. This was followed by roles at the Staatstheater Braunschweig (Johanna - „Sweeney Todd“) and the Boulevardtheater Dresden. There Johanna played the leading roles in „Die Legende vom heißen Sommer“ and „Die Fete endet nie“.
She has demonstrated her versatility several times in world premieres, including as Mary Cullen in „Der Medicus“ and Marian in „Robin Hood“ on the stage of the Schlosstheater Fulda and at the Theater Hameln.
In summer 2024, she appeared as Winifred Banks in the Disney musical „Mary Poppins“ at the renowned Thun Lake Festival in Switzerland. At the same time, she took on the roles of Heidi Hansen and Cynthia Murphy as a walk-in actress in „Dear Evan Hansen“ at the Stadttheater Fürth.
Johanna Zett is currently on stage as the Marquise de Merteuil in „Gefährliche Liebschaften“ at Theater Nordhausen.
In addition to her musical engagements, she can regularly be heard as a soloist in concert formats such as „The Show Must Go On” or “Ladies sing Gentleman - Guys sing Dolls”.
