Spotlight starKira Primke
Kira studied classical singing at the UDK Berlin. During her singing studies, she completed private dance and acting training. The versatile artist has played leading roles at the Landestheater Linz, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, the Theater des Westens Berlin and the Bregenz Festival. She has worked with renowned directors such as Kai Voges, Christian Brey, Stefan Huber, Matthias Davids, Christoph Drewitz and Gerburg Jahnke. She has celebrated great stage successes as Milo Davenport in „An American in Paris“, Eliza in „My Fair Lady“, „Grand Duchess of Gerolstein“, Reno Sweeney in „Anything goes“ and in Monty Python's „Spamalot“ as the Fairy of the Lake at Schauspielhaus Bochum. In the German-language premiere of „The Fabulous World of Amelie“, she took on the role of Gina. As a singer, she has dubbed various series such as „My little Pony“, „Dora the Explorer“ and many more. For over 20 years, she has dedicated herself not only to her own career but also to training singers and actors in the field of singing. She is a lecturer at the universities of music and theater in Rostock and Hanover and works as a vocal coach for the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, among others. In 2021 she was a jury member of the German Musical Theater Award. In 2022 she won the German Musical Theater Award for the best actress in a supporting role for the role of the stepmother in „Brüderchen und Schwesterchen“ at the Brothers Grimm Festival Hanau.
