Born in Wolgast, the singer and musician began his musical education at the Dresden Conservatory. After flute, clarinet, guitar and piano, he studied singing intensively with Victoria Promny and acting with Thea Elster. His further path led him to various singing master classes and a study visit to Italy. Along the way, he pursued a career as a Europe-wide acclaimed rock musician and studied musicology, German studies and sociology at the TU Dresden. Numerous performances with various projects and bands have repeatedly taken Sebastian Lohse on tour at home and abroad. „Futurum“, his rock musical adaptation of Robert Schumann's song cycles, has been invited to various festivals and Schumann festivals.
In addition to his own stage programs and music productions, he also works as a composer and lyricist for other artists, appears in theater and musical productions as a singer and actor and can be heard as a narrator in documentaries and films. Here are just a few of his appearances in recent years: Richard-Wagner-Festspiele Dresden, Thomas-Müntzer-Spiele Mühlhausen, Musicalsommer Fulda, Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, Theater Minden, MS Europa I & II, Nationaltheater Luxemburg, Deutsches Theater München, Schloßfestspiele Schwerin.
His latest composition is the children's fairytale musical „Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf“, published by Wunderhaus Verlag, in which he lends his voice to the wolf, among others.
