Spotlight starThijmen Staps
Thijmen Staps attended the Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, Netherlands, from 2022 to 2026 and graduated with a Bachelor of Music. His voice teachers were Ingrid Zeegers and Edward Hoepelman.
Before starting college, he had already attended MusicAllFactory Junior/Youth in Tilburg. During his training, he appeared as the Narrator in „Into the Woods,“ as Amadé/Wolfgang in „Wolfgang!“—an adaptation of the musical „Mozart!“ — as Amadé/Wolfgang, and in „A Little Night Music“ as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm. In 2025 and 2026, he toured the Netherlands as Joris in the Efteling production „Efteling vertelt … Joris en de Draak.“ In 2026, he made his German musical theater debut in „Die Päpstin,“ directed by Gil Mehmert. Thijmen plays the piano and guitar and enjoys working on his own compositions. In addition, the Dutchman, who speaks fluent English and German, is an impressive tap dancer.
