Yngve Gasoy-Romdal comes from a family of artists in Norway. At the age of 18, he played his first leading role in Oslo in the production „Alice“. Since then, he has played leading roles throughout Europe in productions such as „Les Misérables“, „Phantom of the Opera“, „West Side Story“, „Cinderella“, „Sunset Boulevard“, „High Society“ and „Gigi“. He also created the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the musical „Mozart!“, which was performed in Austria and Germany. He later played the leading roles in the musicals „Jekyll & Hyde“, “Jesus Christ Superstar“, „Camelot“, „Into the Woods“, „Martin Luther“, „The 3 Musketeers“, „Evita“, Disney's „Beauty & the Beast“, „Marie Antoinette“, „Cats“, „The Count of Monte Cristo“, „Chess“, „Kiss me, Kate“, „Jane Eyre“, „Love Never Dies“, „The Name of the Rose“, Leonard Bernstein's „Mass“, „A Tale of Two Cities“ and „Doctor Zhivago“.

He was most recently seen in „Vincent van Gogh“, „The Woman in White“, „The Letters from Ruth“, „Dear Evan Hansen“ and „Saving Mozart“ in Austria.

He has been a soloist in concerts all over the world and has appeared in several television series, such as „Kommisar Rex“, „Liebe Lügen Leidenschaft“, „Sabine“, „Rederiet“ (Sweden) and „My Life in Film“ (BBC).
