Rehearsals have begun for the world premiere of the new musical „Der Schimmelreiter“ by spotlight musicals. Under the direction of Simon Eichenberger, the starting signal was given for the elaborately staged production about the rider between the worlds, which will be performed at the Schlosstheater as part of the Musical Summer Fulda.
To kick off the rehearsals, the team welcomed the Lord Mayor of Fulda, Dr. Heiko Wingenfeld, who was given an exclusive first glimpse of the production. A presentation by puppet director Markus Schabbing and the ensemble of horse actors, who bring the artistically designed horse puppets to life, was particularly impressive.
Producer Peter Scholz is enthusiastic: „The next six weeks will be extremely exciting. More than 1,000 costume pieces are currently being finalized, the stage set will be extremely impressive and our magical horse puppets are already causing great anticipation. The music by Dennis Martin is also already impressive - we already have numerous catchy tunes in the team.“
The first previews begin on May 30, with the world premiere taking place on June 5 at the Schlosstheater Fulda. Advance sales have exceeded expectations: More than 40,000 tickets have already been sold.
