On 12.06.2026, the large-scale event will take place on Fulda Cathedral Square. „Best of spotlight“ gala for the opening of the 63. Hessentag will take place. There will also be a preview of the gala on 11.06.2026.
As with the anniversary gala in 2024, a concert choir specially put together for the gala will perform on both evenings, bringing together former members and new singers.
We are now looking for experienced choir singers from Fulda and the surrounding area who would like to become part of the project choir.
„Spotlight musicals is closely associated with the city of Fulda and the region. We are therefore delighted to be able to work with many singers from the regional choirs again this year - especially for the opening of Hessentag.“, says producer Peter Scholz.
Anyone of legal age who has singing experience and time for the rehearsals, which will take place on Mondays and Thursdays from April, can apply to join the choir.

Application deadline for the project choir is 31.01.2026.
The new choir members will then be selected in an audition to present the highlights from over 20 years of spotlight musicals in June in the Domplatzarena with the Cologne Symphony Orchestra and some of the most popular musical stars.
The gala on 12.06.2026 is already sold out. Tickets for the preview are available online and at all known advance booking offices.
