January 7, 2026 Extraordinary donation result at „Die Päpstin“ in Hameln

At MusicalWinter Hameln 2025, donations were once again collected for two important regional institutions. Thanks to the generous donations from our audience, a total of around €20,000 was raised for a good cause after the shows.

For this we would like to thank all donors and musical performers Thomas Christ, who this year once again took over the appeals for donations, and musical performer Ethan Freeman, who is one of the musical „Die Päpstin“ inspired painting for an auction

Child Protection Association Hameln OT Hameln e.V.

For the Child Protection Association came in the course of the season 9.769,50€ in donations.

These funds will go towards the urgently needed renovation of the outdoor area. „The wooden play tower and some other play equipment need to be replaced. We would also like to purchase a small wooden hut for the children to play in, to create a cozy atmosphere in the outdoor area even when the weather is not so good,“ says Chairwoman Elisabeth Beerbom-Schönig.

Women's Center Hameln e.V.

For the Women's Center in Hamelin, the collections after the performances raised a total of 10.067,54 € achieved.

This is to be used for children who have fled to women's shelters together with their mothers from violent situations. „With the help of donations, we employees can provide our families with better starting conditions and make their stay in the women's refuge a little easier. We provide food vouchers to cover basic needs, but also offer activities such as excursions or family camps on Norderney, which are intended to give women and children joy and ease,“ says the women's center.

Auction of paintings in aid of the women's shelter

Musical performer and artist Ethan Freeman set a special example: inspired by his musical season as Rabanus, he painted the picture „So much more“, which he auctioned off for a good cause during MusicalWinter Hameln. He donated the proceeds of 400 euros to the Hamelin Women's Shelter. On December 30, he presented the painting to its new owners.
