Fulda can celebrate a major success: in the election for the Da Capo Musical Award 2025 9,643 musical fans from all over Germany cast their votes in October and November. A total of 14 prizes were awarded - and we are delighted to have won three of them.
The Schlosstheater Fulda became the most popular indoor venue for musicals was chosen. The Neue Flora Hamburg and the Festspielhaus Füssen followed in second and third place.
Honors for actors from „Die Päpstin“ and „Robin Hood“
Christian Schöne received the prize for the best male lead as Anastasius in Die Päpstin.
Ethan Freeman was recognized as best male supporting role was honored for his portrayal of Rabanus.
Particularly noteworthy: all podium places in the „Best Male Supporting Role“ category went to Fulda productions. Alongside Ethan Freeman André Headicke 2nd place for Brother Tuck in Robin Hood, and Sebastian Lohse achieved 3rd place for his interpretation of the double role of Father/Pope Sergius.
„We are very happy about the many prizes. A nice early Christmas present,“ says producer Peter Scholz.
