More InformationThe song was written by Dennis Martin, which takes up a central motif of the story with music and text: the struggle of man against the overpowering, almost personified nature. Main protagonist Hauke Haien, presented by Sascha Kurth, directs his song directly towards the sea - demanding, desperate and at the same time full of indomitable will.
Visually, the video thrives on a rough, storm-whipped atmosphere. Dark colors, moving light and a reduced but effective scenery make the violence of nature palpable. Hauke is the sole focus - a man who confronts the elements and pushes himself to his physical and mental limits. The camerawork reinforces this impression and makes the inner conflict just as tangible as the external threat.
The costumes from Aleš Valášek and the make-up of Elke Quirmbach underline the realistic, yet mythically charged character of the scene. They clearly locate the character in his time and lend Hauke Haien an austere, North German authenticity that blends perfectly with the music.
„Sturm komm auf“ is therefore far more than just a foretaste: the music video makes it clear what elemental forces Hauke Haien will have to face, and already gives an idea of the emotional force with which Der Schimmelreiter will conquer the stage of the Schlosstheater Fulda in 2026.
